When it comes to transparency and a free society, the fourth estate is vital. So what does it mean when the news media becomes the story?
Consider these gems:
- Liberal billionaire George Soros has spent more than $48 million funding media properties, including the infrastructure of news – journalism schools, investigative journalism and even industry organizations
- Soros also funds the ”very media ombudsmen charged with blowing the whistle on bias.”
- Veteran journalists accuse White House press corps of being too timid to challenge President Barack Obama, it’s “as if they are in the room with a monarch and they have to wait to be recognized.”
- Or a little closer to home, blogger Ross Kaminsky justifiably asks this question after discovering that Denver Post political reporter Allison Sherry dates Colorado Senator Michael Bennet’s former campaign communications director Trevor Kincaid: “But on a professional level, how can we have any faith that Allison’s political reporting will be unbiased, or at least no more biased than the average left-leaning reporter?”
Do you trust the media? If not, then where do you get your information?
