Public school spending transparency passes the Senate

It’s official.  SB09-57 the Public School Financial Transpaency Act passed the Senate on third reading and is on it’s way to the House.  As soon as COST gets the record of the vote, we will let you know how every Senator voted.  

While this is a huge accomplishment (one that even the most passionate supporters didn’t think possible), transparency advocates will have to gear up for a tough fight in the House. Sources tell COST that some prominent members of the House Education Committee are not too keen on transparency for public school districts.  From what COST has observed, transparency supporters don’t mind being underdogs.
